As you settle into one of the carefully arranged tables, you’ll find that it offers an ideal opportunity to pass the time while indulging in the art of people-watching. As you sip from their extensive selection of wines, you’ll discover a treasure trove of flavours , with many of the offerings sourced from independent wineries that are dedicated to craftsmanship and quality. These small-scale producers typically create only four to five hundred bottles of each unique wine per year, ensuring that each glass you enjoy is not only distinctive but also a reflection of the meticulous care and passion that goes into its production. With just six tables available, the bistro maintains an exclusive and cozy atmosphere, allowing for personalized service and an intimate dining experience. While the menu primarily features an array of exquisite seafood dishes that highlight the freshness and quality of the ingredients, there is also a thoughtfully crafted vegetarian option available, catering to diverse palates and dietary preferences. Owned by the talented chef Phil White and his partner Rachel Chisholm, this establishment stands out for its unique blend of culinary expertise and innovative concepts. Phil brings a wealth of experience. His passion for food is evident in every dish he creates, as he continually strives to push the boundaries of traditional cuisine while maintaining a deep respect for classic flavors and ingredients. On the other hand, Rachel contributes her own impressive background in catering. Her attention to detail and organisational skills complement Phil's culinary creativity, allowing them to work harmoniously as a team.

Together, they have cultivated a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflects their shared vision for the restaurant. Adding another layer to their success are their ever-involved critics—their daughters. These young food enthusiasts provide honest feedback and insights, which not only keeps the couple grounded.

We enjoyed an early lunch that was both delightful and satisfying, complemented perfectly by a selection of fine wines. The meal featured an array

of seafood that truly tantalized our taste buds, starting with crispy squid that was lightly battered with gochujang mayo and lime,offering a satisfying crunch with each bite. Next, the octopus was expertly prepared, tender and succulent, showcasing its natural flavors enhanced by ghanoush,sesame and fennel. The cod was flaky and moist, cooked just right, while the halibut was equally impressive, its firm texture and mild flavour making it a standout dish on the table.

To elevate our dining experience, we paired these delectable dishes with a glass or two of Camino De Santa Zita, a wine that brought a delightful balance of acidity and fruitiness to the meal. We were so enamored with its taste that we decided to purchase the last bottle in stock to take home, ensuring that we could savor the experience again in the comfort of our own home!


The experience of enjoying a delightful three-course lunch designed for two people, which included wine , was priced at a very reasonable £209.50.

This price point reflects not only the quality of the ingredients used in the meal but also the expertise of the chefs who crafted each dish with precision and creativity. Each course was thoughtfully curated to provide a harmonious balance of flavors and textures, ensuring that the dining experience was both satisfying and memorable.


Furthermore, the ambiance of the restaurant added to the allure of the occasion, making it a truly special outing. For a dining experience that combines exquisite cuisine, fine wine, and a pleasant atmosphere, this price is indeed quite reasonable, especially considering the level of service and attention to detail provided throughout the meal.
